Everyones Different
Everyone’s Different is a Mental Health Campaign which aims to break the stigma around mental health for students in their first year of University.
Concept
The Halls team wanted to ensure the stigma to seeking help, feeling the odd one out, worrying about it being confidential etc were broken and students were aware that it’s okay to be differnet, hence the idea behind the variety of fonts and colours as a metaphor to illustrate that there’s nothing wrong with being different.
The campaign was aimed at students and therefor needed a contemporary approach, different to other existing mental health approaches. Whilst I wanted to ensure the campaign was soothing and relatable for students, feeling as if it was coming from a friend and not a member of staff, I also wanted the campaign to be bold and standout. Among a variety of other advertisment and information seen around halls of residence, the campaign needed to be bold, containing strong typography and colours to grab the viewers attention above all else.
